The robustness of a farm girl, the honed sophistication of a city woman, a dash of Jewish chutzpah, and a heaping cup of endurance athlete and voila, you have me.  The mother of two young daughters, I have been working in schools for over 18 years.  From an overcrowded, cacophonous urban high school to a pristine private girls school, there’s not much I haven’t witnessed when it comes to schools, children and families.  I have been a teacher, curriculum leader, coach, college counselor, assistant head of school, sometimes pastor, often mayor, de facto parent therapist to families entering into kindergarten, graduating their baby from high school and all ages in between. For close to two decades, I have lived in the presence and the absence of Grit + Grace in children, including my own two young daughters.
